Jordanian Ambassador Visits Utah State University

September 14, 2009

Utah State University's involvement in the Middle East dates back to the 1920s. In an arid climate, similar to Utah, work on irrigation issues and water conservation is critical. The Ambassador of Jordan to the United States, Price Zeid Ra'ad Zeid Al-Hussein, visited Utah State to discuss these and other issues of international research that USU is working on in Jordan. During the two days the Ambassador was visiting, he met with professors who have done work or are currently working in Jordan, Jordanian graduate students, and President Stan L. Allbrecht. His visit is important in helping USU develop key relationship that allow for more international work in countries like Jordan; it is also an honor to the University.
